Coventry Transport Museum

Coventry is the birthplace of the British cycle and motor industry. The Coventry Transport Museum displays the fascinating story behind the development of road transport from the earliest cycles to the fastest cars on earth.

The Brief

LightMedia's task was to refresh CTM’s existing site which we had built for them a number of years ago. Their old site had served them well but with the large developments in technology it was time to modernise their site and ensure it worked responsively on mobile and tablet devices.

How We Helped

The design for the new site involved unique concepts driven by the client. The site's design is fully controllable via the Content Management System which LightMedia custom developed in-house and use on most client sites.

To ensure the user-experience was as seamless as possible, a number of custom interactive elements were built using jQuery. The website was developed using the latest ASP.NET technology and the data is stored in a SQL Server database, customised for the demands of the Coventry Transport Museum.

the Outcome

The completed website closely matches the brief and serves as an eye-catching hub for all of Coventry Transport Museum's news, feeds and content. User feedback from visitors has been overwhelmingly positive, with visitors placing a high value on the speed and accuracy with which they can get to the events and information they are searching for.
